As I said, polarity of those two black primary PT wires doesnt matter. How exactly can I test to ensure that I've got things wired up correctly? The color code on the PT wiring diagram you linked isnt the same as the color code on the layout. What is the correct configuration with these wires to achieve parallel and series? The color coding is a little different on these guys, primaries are red/black red/black, secondaries are blue/green blue/green. ![]() As of now I'm blowing the PCB fuse (250v/4AT as recommended) every time I fire it up, leading me to believe I've got some sort of fundamental misunderstanding with regards to the wiring of the transformers. The AC power cable color code is nearly similar to the code used in the USA except exclusion of bare copper from ground wire. I'm building a G-Pultec, utilizing 2 Antek transformers.110:12V and 110:6.3V (I'm in the US). Audio transformers for vacuum tube equipment were coded blue for the finishing lead of the primary, red for the B+ lead of the primary, brown for a primary center tap, green for the finishing lead of the secondary, black for grid lead of the secondary, and yellow for a tapped secondary. ![]()
